The interviewer asks, you answer against the clock. Then compare with a model answer, tick the key points you covered, and get an honest scorecard at the end.

Structure beats length. Interviewers listen for the key idea, a real example and when it breaks.

How to get the most from a mock interview
The mock interview plays the interviewer. It asks a question and gives you thinking time and a clock. Then it shows a model answer with the key points an interviewer listens for. You tick the points you really covered, and the scorecard at the end shows where you stand.
- Answer out loud. Explaining a concept to a listener is a different skill from recognising it on a page. Say your answer as if someone is on the other end of the call.
- Use a simple structure. Define the idea in one sentence, give a concrete example, then name a trade-off or gotcha. Two tight minutes beat five rambling ones.
- Turn misses into a study list. The key points you didn't tick are what to review. Read the chapter's answers for them, then run the mock again a few days later.
