How the quiz works

Pick the chapters you want, a level and how many questions, then start. Every question is either multiple choice or a “what does this code log?” puzzle, the two formats that turn up most in screening rounds and online assessments.

  • Learn first, then rehearse. Leave the timer off while a topic is new. Once you know it, give yourself 30 or 60 seconds per question to practise answering under pressure.
  • Read every explanation. Each one says why the right answer is right and why the others are wrong, which is exactly what an interviewer's follow-up question probes.
  • Aim at your gaps. “Never seen” and “ones I got wrong” use the history saved in this browser, so each session focuses on what you haven't mastered yet. There's no sign-up and nothing is sent to a server.
